Oppo K5 with 64 MP quad camera setup launched

Through an unveil event in China, OPPO unveiled the OPPO K5 mid-range smartphone alongside the OPPO Reno Ace flagship phone.The new K-series smartphone features a quad-camera setup with a 64MP primary sensor and midrange performance internals. Oppo K5 is expected to launch in India soon.

Speaking of specs, the Oppo K5 comes with a 6.4-inch 1080p+ Super AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and in-display fingerprint scanner. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G processor paired with up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage (this is a slight change from the Realme X2 that tops at 128GB storage) which is also expandable.

The dual-SIM Oppo K5 runs Android 9 Pie-based Color OS 6.1 software. The Oppo K5 further packs a 4,000mAh battery with 30W fast charging.

On to the cameras, the Oppo K5 comes with a four-camera setup on the rear. It has a 64 MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, a 2MP depth camera, and a 2MP macro lens. On the front, the Oppo K5 has a 32 MP camera.

Consumers can pre-book the device on Oppo website, Suning.com, JD.com and Tmall. It will be made available to the public starting October 17. The device has been made available in Blue, Green and White colour variants.
