Muslim rozadar organize Bada Mangal to spread communal amity:
Few Muslims are trying to carry forward legacy of their family by organizing Bada Mangle.
Mohammad Tabrez Sidiqqui is a resident of Unnao. Ten years ago he shifted from there to Lucknow to join work with Indian Railways, which changed his perception. From being a person who only celebrated Eid, he began participating in Hindu Festival too.
“In 2009 my colleagues organized Iftar for me in office premises. I felt happy and grateful,” He told us and he later carried out Bada Mangal bhandara in Alambagh in 2011.
Another devotee named Arshad, who came from a family that has been closely associated with Durga Puja and Bada Mangal celebration has been taking forward legacy of hosting bhandara for 20 years now.
Arshad said that “My father and brother were members of Bhootnath Durga Puja committee. Since childhood, I have believed in Hazrat Ali and Bajrangbali as they both are powerful role models”.
