Lucknow: A Muslim man named Javed Siddiqui is from Muslim background who is a follower of Islam and also a devotee of lord Hanuman. On Tuesday, he organized iftar as well as Bada Mangle.

This 32 year old man Javed resident of Lalbagh, is from a Muslim family and also a devotee of lord Hanuman. He organizes Iftar and Bada mangle on Tuesday.

And his house bustles with preparation for iftar and bada Mangle. Javed told media persons that he wakes up every morning for both fajr ki namaz and bhajans. That’s what makes him more fortunate.

To establish communal amity, since six years Javed has been organizing Bada Mangal. Siddique told journalist that “No religion perches hostility. Social media tries to spread hate between people. The ground reality is different. It is love and brotherhood all the way”.

Not only Javed but other Muslims are also sending messages of religious harmony by organizing bhandara. In this way they are reminding people about Lucknow’s unique tahzeeb by conveying others that humanity is above all religious affiliation.

 

Muslim rozadar organize Bada Mangal to spread communal amity:

 

Few Muslims are trying to carry forward legacy of their family by organizing Bada Mangle.

Mohammad Tabrez Sidiqqui is a resident of Unnao. Ten years ago he shifted from there to Lucknow to join work with Indian Railways, which changed his perception. From being a person who only celebrated Eid, he began participating in Hindu Festival too.

“In 2009 my colleagues organized Iftar for me in office premises. I felt happy and grateful,” He told us and he later carried out Bada Mangal bhandara in Alambagh in 2011.

Another devotee named Arshad, who came from a family that has been closely associated with Durga Puja and Bada Mangal celebration has been taking forward legacy of hosting bhandara for 20 years now.

Arshad said that “My father and brother were members of Bhootnath Durga Puja committee. Since childhood, I have believed in Hazrat Ali and Bajrangbali as they both are powerful role models”.
