Mumbai: Moving from St. Regis hotel, Lakmé Fashion Week (LFW) Summer/Resort 2017 edition will take place at the new venue here and Jaspreet Chandok, Head-Fashion, IMG Reliance Ltd says that it is an attempt to provide a larger canvas to enhance the business of fashion.

“The event this season at JioGarden will provide us a larger canvas to enhance the business of fashion. Its allowed us to move to a better time of the year for buyer designer engagement as well as given us the opportunity to scale up the infrastructure with a larger stall area.

“We are also very excited about enhancing the size of our second showing area where we have taken the lead in showcasing fashion through the presentation concept,”. The forthcoming edition is all set to take the leap to JioGarden, Bandra-Kurla Complex, here. The move to JioGarden offers a wider canvas for the event presenting it in a brand new look and feel.

“The move to JioGarden reaffirms our commitment to the business of fashion with a larger area for buyers and designers to interface. Everything this season will be bigger and further push the boundaries of what a fashion event can achieve,” said Chandok. Boasting of state-of the-art infrastructure with the ability to manage 9000 people simultaneously, the venue has previously hosted music concerts, awards shows and large scaled corporate events.
