Business aircraft operators to meet in Hyderabad on March 7

Hyderabad, Feb 28 (IANS) The Business Aircraft Operators Association (BAOA) will discuss various issues connected to the Business and General Aviation (BA/GA) industry at the fourth edition of the BizAVIndia Conference here on March 7, the association said on Wednesday.

‘Emerging opportunities for air connectivity: Navigating the future for Business and General Aviation Industry in India’ is the theme of the conference to be held on the eve of WINGS India, scheduled to be held from March 8-11.

BAOA wishes to dive deeper into what the future holds for BA/GA industry in India, as the country is poised to be the world’s third largest aviation market by 2022, the association said in a statement.

“The utility of Business Aviation, as a productivity tool and a contributor to economic development, is becoming more evident and should serve as the prime rationale to put in place an appropriate framework enabling industry’s growth and its role in channelising economic and social benefits throughout India,” said Rohit Kapur, President BAOA.

The conference will bring together all the key stakeholders in the industry for a unique knowledge-exchange and networking platform.

Minister of State for Civil Aviation Shri Jayant Sinha will deliver the inaugural address.

The conference will also be attended by key Officials including Usha Padhee, Joint Secretary from the Ministry of Civil Aviation; Captain Atul Chandra and Captain Pankaj Anand, CFOI and Deputy CFOI, respectively from Director General of Civil Aviation and G.K. Chaukiyal, Executive Director (RCS) Airport Authority of India.
