Noida: A 14-year-old teenage girl met a gruesome end in Uttar Pradesh industrial area on Friday when she tripped and fell into a hot mix plant used to construct a road and died within minutes, police said.

 

 

According to police official statement, a 14-year-old girl died today after she accidentally fell into a concrete stone mixing plant at Chhijarsi village today.

The victim, Gujan, had gone to collect cow dung for Govardhan puja when she accidentally slipped and fell into the mixing plant, he said.

 

 

The incident took place in the city’s Chhajarsi area. The girl, identified as Gunjan, had gone out to collect some dung for Govardhan Puja, observed on the next day of Diwali, when she slipped and fell into the plant.

Angry locals, family members of the deceased staged a sit-in on the accident site and demanded immediate action against the owner of the road mix plant, which was later found to be illegal.

 

Teenage girl dies after falling into hot concrete mixer plant in Noida:

 

The plant has been sealed by City Magistrate Mahindra Singh and a complaint has been given against its manager, the official said.

 

 

Her half burnt body was found lying near the plant and it has been sent for post-mortem, he said.

Meanwhile, agitated residents blocked the traffic on the road leading to the village in protest against the death of the minor.

 

 

Singh along with a team of Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board and police force reached the protest site and dispersed the mob, he added.

Some other senior police and district officials rushed to the scene to pacify the irate mob later.
